sono tre settimane tolto questa che il lunedi sono primo secondo quarto e venerdi ultimo o giu' di li meno male che le azioni le prendo il lunedi e le vendo in discesa questa settimana invece ho visto bene e ho solo mediato ancc per il resto non sono entrato in niente
a no solo osip da 92.25 a 97.70 lunedi naturalmente

REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 4, 2004--Advanced Digital Information Corporation (Nasdaq:ADIC), leader in Intelligent Storage(TM) solutions for the open systems market, announced today that industry analyst firm Gartner Dataquest has named the company as market share leader in the largest tape automation segment for the third consecutive year in a newly-released study of market trends. The study also reports that the market segment that includes systems using either LTO or DLT/SDLT tape technologies dramatically increased its dominant position in the overall tape automation market, growing from 58.1% in 2002 to 66.1% last year. This segment now accounts for $1.2 billion in revenue worldwide, up by approximately 2% over the 2002 total.
Compared to 2002 figures, ADIC increased its own market-leading share by almost six percentage points to 30.4% of the worldwide revenues for the small-form-factor half-inch drive automation segment, according to Gartner Dataquest's Market Shares: Tape Automation Systems Worldwide, 2003. According to the report, ADIC also leads the market in unit volumes with a 31.4% share in the small-form-factor segment and a 22.9% share in the overall tape library market.
"There are two key stories in this report," said Peter van Oppen, ADIC Chairman and CEO. "The first is that the drives used primarily for backing up open systems networks -- including LTO and SDLT -- have truly become the dominant force in the overall tape automation market, increasing their share from around 54% in 2001 to more than 66% last year. mi sa che oggi il gap a 8,73 lo va a chiudere come ridere !
però sinceramente entrare dopo una trimestrale del genere mi fà un po' paura
la trimestrale direi molto brutta:
Advanced Digital Information Corporation (Nasdaq ADIC) today announced a second quarter loss of $1.3 million, or two cents per share, on sales of $111.1 million for the period ended April 30, 2004, versus a profit of $2.4 million, or four cents per share, on sales of $100.6 million during the same period last year. Sales grew more than 10 percent from the same period last year and declined just over six percent from the record first quarter ended Jan. 31.
"We are disappointed at the end of our six quarters of sequential sales growth and the resulting small operating loss this period," said Chairman and CEO, Peter van Oppen. "But we remain convinced that our continued investment in new products and channels is the right strategy. ADIC® ramped up expenses during the second quarter, especially in sales and marketing, in anticipation of even more rapid sales growth which did not materialize," he said. "We did, however, continue to make measurable progress in the acceptance of our newest products as well as development of sales channels during the quarter and we do not expect to significantly alter our existing levels of spending."
