13.03.06 10:30 - Borsa Francoforte: il Dax in rialzo, vola Schering




FRANCOFORTE (MF-DJ)--Andamento positivo per la borsa tedesca. Il Dax sta mettendo a segno un rialzo dello 0,6% a quota 5.836, in una seduta che vede sotto i riflettori il comparto farmaceutico dopo l'offerta lanciata da Merck su Schering, che sta sostenendo il listino. E per gli analisti, il rally potrebbe continuare e il Dax dovrebbe toccare la soglia psicologica dei 5.870 punti. Tra i titoli, vola Schering, con un rialzo del 21,5%. In territorio positivo anche Allianz, che avanza dell'1,3%, che beneficia della notizia dell'offerta dato che e' uno dei principali azionisti della casa farmaceutica. Brilla anche Deutsche Boerse, che guadagna il 5,9% in scia alla notizia del Nasdaq sul Lse. rit

Taxol® and Paraplatin® Superior to Novantrone® for Hormone-Refractory Prostate Cancer

Researchers from France have reported that the combination of Taxol (paclitaxel) and Paraplatin (carboplatin) is superior to Novantrone (mitoxantrone) for the treatment of hormone refractory prostate cancer. The details of this study appeared in the February 2006 issue of Urology.

Novantrone alone has been replaced by Taxotere® (docetaxel)-based regimens for the chemotherapy treatment of hormone refractory prostate cancer. However, until recently Novantrone was the drug of choice. The new standard may be Taxotere and Emcyt® (estramustine).

The current study compared the relative effectiveness of a regimen of Taxol and Paraplatin and standard Novantrone. These authors reported that the prostate specific antigen response was 40% for the Taxol/Paraplatin group compared to 10% for the Novantrone group. Response duration was 8.6 months for the Taxol/Paraplatin group compared to 2 months for the Novantrone group. Taxol and Paraplatin produced an objective response in a quarter of patients compared to none in the Novantrone group. The median overall survival for the Taxol/Paraplatin group was 14.5 months compared to 11.1 months for the Novantrone arm. The major toxicity seen in the Taxol/Paraplatin group was sensory neuropathy.

Comments: These data warrant comparison with the current best regimen of Taxotere and Emcyt for hormone refractory prostate cancer.

Ciao Maxpe....io sul treno ci sono da un pezzo, e il posto non lo cedo a nessuno, però il fatto che ogni volta che gli istituzionali si muovono (ieri 9% come te quotato.....ovviamente sulla veridicità è attendibilità dei dati ho molti dubbi) cell scenda, mi preoccupa un poco per il breve periodo.
