Pioneer Metals and Claude Resources Commence Drilling at Nokomis Gold Project

25 February 2005, 12:51pm ET

VANCOUVER/SASKATOON, Feb. 25 /CNW/ - Pioneer Metals Corporation
("Pioneer") and Claude Resources Inc. ("Claude") announced today that drilling
has commenced on their Nokomis Lake Gold Project ("Nokomis" or the "Project").
The Project is a joint venture between Pioneer (50%) and Claude (50%) with
Claude acting as operator. The planned winter program includes approximately
2,000 metres of diamond drilling in 15 holes and has a total budget of
$175,000 (CDN). The drilling contract has been awarded to Newmac Industries
Limited of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
The Project consists of thirty-nine contiguous mineral claims totaling
approximately 2,200 hectares (5,400 acres) and is located 7.5 kilometres north
of Pioneer's 100%-owned Puffy Lake Gold Mine and milling facility, about
70 kilometres northeast of Flin Flon, Manitoba. Nokomis is a shear-related
intrusive-hosted (tonalite) lode gold system. It hosts a historic mineral
resource of 349,110 tonnes grading 6.10 grams per tonne gold ("gpt"). A
scoping study by Kilborn Engineering Pacific Ltd. in 1996 modeled a
potentially economic, near surface mineral resource of 100,000 tonnes grading
in excess of 13 gpt. More recently (2000), Eckart Buhlmann, P. Geo., an
independent consultant for Pioneer, estimated this mineral resource at
approximately 80,000 tonnes grading 10 gpt with an average width of 4 metres.
(Note: The mineral resources cited are historical estimates that do not
conform to the standards outlined in sections 1.3 and 1.4 of National
Instrument 43-101).
The 2005 winter drilling program at Nokomis will focus on testing targets
along a 1,000 metre strike length of the host formation (tonalite) northward
beyond the limit of previous drilling. The program is scheduled to be
completed by March 31, 2005.

New High Grade Zones Discovered at Madsen

In the second half of 2004, Placer Dome (CLA) Ltd. completed fourteen diamond drill holes totaling 5,315 metres on the Madsen property near Red Lake, Ontario. With the completion of this drill program, Placer has met the $8.2 million exploration expenditure requirement of its option agreement with Claude Resources Inc. As per the agreement, Placer has until December of 2006 to deliver a positive feasibility study to fulfill its obligations and vest in the Madsen Joint Venture with a 55% working interest.

The current drill program vectored in on flexures along the contact of the main ultramafic unit, proximal to the main Madsen trend approximately 1,500 metres southwest of the Madsen headframe. It resulted in the discovery of two new high-grade zones along the ultramafic contact west of the Madsen mine. Collectively referred to as the ‘Fork Target’, the new zones are characterized by brecciated, veined and strongly altered basalt, appear to be structurally controlled and visually resemble the past-producing high-grade No. 8 Zone.

Six of the holes drilled on the Fork Target were on 20 metre to 50 metre centres and all intersected significant gold values in three zones, the AD, BC and McVeigh horizon. Intersections on the AD Zone ranged from 4.2 metres grading 1.1 grams per tonne Au (gpt) to 1.3 metres grading 47 gpt at depths below surface between 100 metres and 200 metres. The BC zone is interpreted as an en echelon offset, similar in appearance to the AD zone and returned a single intercept of 0.8 metres grading 81.9 gpt. Step-out holes to the west produced intercepts of 2.8 metres grading 6.1 gpt and 1.5 metres grading 7.5 gpt on a target called the WF zone. Intersections reported are cored intervals with the structures interpreted to be 50° to 70° to the core axis.

When coupled with the extensively drilled ‘Treasure Box’ zone, Placer has successfully identified a number of narrow, high-grade veins (zones) near surface. Their existence lends credence to the exploration model of high-grade lenses like the No. 8 Zone, in a brittle-ductile environment at depth

Claude Resources Inc. gold production up 70% in fourth quarter

12 January 2006, 4:21pm ET

SASKATOON, Jan. 12 /CNW Telbec/ - Claude Resources Inc. (TSE:CRJ,
AMEX:CGR) is pleased to announce that 2005 fourth quarter gold production at
its Seabee mine in Saskatchewan, Canada improved by 70% from 8,900 ounces in
the third quarter of 2005 to 15,100 ounces this period. This also represents a
15% increase over the previous five-year average of fourth quarter gold
production. As expected, this fourth quarter production improvement resulted
from increases in productivity, grade and mill throughput.
Full year production in 2005 was 44,600 ounces compared to 40,900 ounces
in 2004. 2005 production was 6% below the five-year average of 47,400 ounces.
Claude Resources is forecasting 2006 gold production to exceed
50,000 ounces. These ounces are expected to originate from the following

- The Seabee orebody is forecast to produce 48,000 ounces;
- The Santoy and Porky bulk samples are expected to produce a total of
2,000 ounces in the third quarter of 2006;
- Additional Santoy and/or Porky pre-production ounces are anticipated in
the fourth quarter of 2006.

Neil McMillan, President & CEO states: "we believe that these fourth
quarter results represent the sustainable return to historical production
levels from the Seabee orebody. Combined with our Seabee mill expansion and
development of "satellite" deposits in the Seabee area, we are optimistic
about expanding Seabee production going forward."

I found this on the BGO board.

Re: Stocking Up On Silver And Gold - HI, a3624c Thanks for the lead. I own some BGO and some Coral Gold (CGR.V or CGREF.OB for U.S.). It is one of the 4 co's USGL has approached to buy. The 4th is Nevada Pacific Gold (NPG.V), about which I know zip. Coral closed at $5.45 (U.S.) on Friday. USGL offered .63 of its shares per share of Coral. Now, .63 X USGL's $9.08 gives $5.72 for Coral, a little above Coral's closing at $5.45. Coral has been on a tear (YIPPEEE!) and I didn't really understand why until yesterday. Any further information would be appreciated, particularly about USGL, which has truly rocketed. Cheers, harmoja - by: harmoja
