Enapter (X.H2O)

L'azoto dell'aria e l'idrogeno verde vengono convertiti in ammoniaca liquida in modo CO2 neutro.

4️⃣ 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 Renewable Energy India Expo 💡

With 40,000+ visitors, REI is recognised as Asia’s Leading B2B expo focusing on Solar Energy, Wind Energy, Bio-Energy, Energy Storage, Electric Vehicles and charging infra. Learn what we took away from the event:

🚀 India is now only getting started with green hydrogen: So many people realised the potential of our scalable and modular AEM Electrolyser EL 4.0 for pilot use cases of different sizes.

🏭 India’s industry is huge and so is the demand for bigger solutions: A lot of large players also came by and expressed their interest for our megawatt solution, the AEM Multicore.

⏳ The Indian market is fast moving: We’ve perceived an incredible urge for rapid change in terms of energy supply. Many asked whether there is a way to get our AEM Electrolysers even quicker. Good news: Serial production of the new EL 4.0 is underway and we’re making good progress at our construction site for mass production in Saerbeck.

🧳 Taking the EL 4.0 dummy was a good idea: We were the only ones at REI that brought an actual electrolyser. This certainly generated a lot of interest and helped us explain our approach to those interested.

In summary, attending REI’s 2022 Crystal Edition was a very interesting trip with great insights on the Indian market, lots of good leads, strengthened relationships with customers and partners such as R.K. Jain from Edu-Tek, Chaitanya Mallurwar from H2E Power, Industrial Boilers, Chahabi Electricals, and many more. As we were part of the German Pavilion, it was also very nice to meet with Dipty Kanitkar and Shivani Chaturvedi from the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce.

October is absolutely full of events for Enapter and our integration partners, ranging from Japan to Istanbul, Scotland, the US, Italy and Germany. Get an overview of all upcoming events in the ‘Contact’ section of our website!

We’re so happy to share that we’ve reached a big milestone! 🎉

GOLDBECK, the family-led construction firm of our Enapter Campus gave us the keys to our new R&D building here in the Klimakommune Saerbeck (Climate Community of Saerbeck). 🗝️ Now, it’s officially ours and ready to witness some serious research and development!

We’re impressed with the rapid progress as this took us less than a year, and we’re also excited to start our work in this building as it will be a key site for enabling low-cost green hydrogen with mass-producible AEM Electrolysers.

Next steps: 100% locally-made renewable power supply from Bioenergiepark, Wifi connection and furniture – and all of this is about to happen in the next 1-2 weeks, so we’ll move in by the end of this month.

A huge thank you to everyone involved!

🚢 The US company Starfire Energy has developed a modular system for the production of carbon-free ammonia. Ammonia (NH3) has 9x the energy density of Li-ion batteries, 1.8x the energy density of liquid hydrogen, and 2.8x the energy density of 10,000 psi compressed hydrogen. It’s considered one of the fuels of the future and is used, among other things, in agriculture as a fertiliser, with potential as a fuel for green shipping. NH3 has been produced, transported, and handled for more than 100 years so has a lot of codes, standards, and infrastructure in place – it is a known quantity when it comes to working with it.

🟢 Up to now, fossil fuels have been used in the production of ammonia. For every tonne of ammonia produced, two tonnes of CO2 are emitted. Starfire Energy, however, uses AEM Electrolysers from Enapter to produce ammonia. Nitrogen from the air and green hydrogen are converted into liquid ammonia in a CO2-neutral way. After initially starting with two AEM Electrolysers, today more than 20 Enapter electrolysers are already in use by Starfire, enabling daily production of 100 kg of ammonia. Modularly-designed industrial plants with a production capacity of five tonnes/day and more are in the planning stage and can be quickly deployed with Enapter's electrolysers. Facilities can be scaled up by adding more modules to stay in sync with market demand.

This “Rapid Ramp” system has no need for hydrogen storage as it uses the gas from the electrolyser immediately to create ammonia, which is also easier and cheaper to store than hydrogen.
