Reddito netto più di quanto raddoppiato ad un $62.9 milioni record, o $1.58 per la parte diluita. Deutsche Bank upgrades THQ, Inc. (Nasdaq: THQI) from Hold to Buy. Price target increased from $3.60 to $6.

Deutsche analyst says, "Our THQ upgrade is based on three reasons: First, the business is refocused on core franchises that make money. Second, THQ's focus on lower-cost development platforms should provide for profit upside. Lastly, but equally as important, the company has significantly reduced its operating expense structure to benefit from incremental revenues in FY10. The stock is attractive at 0.3x FY10 revs (vs. other companies at 1x-2x revs)...Though major cost cutting initiatives, THQ is well positioned to benefit from a lower cost structure and a revamped product strategy whereby the focus will be on fewer, high quality titles (that sell in the multi-million unit range). This should result in a return to profits, with the expectation of ~$50mn in cash flow (or $0.75/share), in FY10. With a leaner expense structure, we think the company will also benefit from healthy leverage on incremental revenues, should franchise titles outperform expectations. As for F4Q results, revenues/EPS of $154mn/-$0.54 was better/in-line with DB expectations of $100mn/-$0.46."

Get ready for a breakout !!!

The stock has the look of an upcoming breakout, which could next week. If you look at its technical chart, you will see a tight consolidation that has occurred this past two weeks. The stock attempted to push higher on Friday, topped at $4.20 but closed at $4.13 on over 1.28 million shares. On daily chart above we can see price is moving in a range area of $4.23 – 3.86. We need a break on either side to see clearer direction. I prefer a bullish scenario and expect break above $4.23 targeting $4.84 before testing $5.04 in medium term view. In the past one month of trading sessions, the stock went up more than 20%. Over the past 52-weeks, the stock traded within the range of $3.33-$8.29.

non saprei, però potremmo essere agli albori di un bel movimento up, io sono dentro da 4.14 ... secondo me può valere la pena di rischiare un'entrata.

Non ci capisco molto di videogames (anzi, niente) però mi sembra che l'azienda dovrebbe nei prossimi mesi e durante il 2011 far uscire titoli di rilievo...

Strong Bullish Note on THQI

THQI had a nice surge a few weeks ago and has been consolidating that move since then. The stock continues to look like a possible breakout on the daily chart, which is why I'm still following the stock. THQI attempted to push higher today, but still unable to make a clear break above $4.22 so far. The bias is neutral in nearest term. A break above $4.22 could trigger further upside recovery testing 4.39. Volume is starting to pick up and there could be a decent short squeeze if it clears the October high. Looking at the technical chart, momentum oscillators like the MACD and RSI are in their positive zone and moving up while continuing with their buy signals. The Directional Indicators are also in Buy mode as the +DI is above the –DI and ADX has increased to 22 from 20, which is positive for the stock indicating the trend is gaining in strength. Also the Stochastic Oscillator is now giving a Buy signal as %K moves over %D. The Money Flow Index indicator is moving higher and is at 63 which shows that money is flowing into the stock. THQI is a good example where bulls may be about to overrun bears. I am bullish on this stock in the short / medium term. In addition, I'm also considering the fact that insiders have been buying thousands of shares.
