  • Ecco la 70° Edizione del settimanale "Le opportunità di Borsa" dedicato ai consulenti finanziari ed esperti di borsa.

    Settimana di risk-off per i principali indici per via dei timori legati all’inflazione persistente e alle prospettive di tassi ancora elevati a lungo. Anche se il report di oggi sull’indice core Pce, la misura molto gradita alla Fed per valutare l’inflazione, ha mostrato un parziale raffreddamento, o quantomeno una stabilità. L’indice ha riportato una crescita su base annua del 2,8%, in linea con le previsioni degli analisti e con la rilevazione del mese precedente. Questo dovrebbe lasciare più margine di manovra alla Fed per abbassare i tassi di interesse nel corso del 2024. Passando al Vecchio Continente, il report sull’inflazione dell’Eurozona ha mostrato un indice al 2,6%, oltre il 2,5% atteso e in accelerazione rispetto al 2,4% precedente.

La Cassazione: reato vendere la cannabis, anche se light

La scommessa sul business della cannabis legale è stato una delle grandi novità di questi anni. La liberalizzazione (sia a livello terapeutico sia a livello ricreativo) decisa in questi anni da diversi Stati negli Usa e poi la legalizzazione piena decisa alla fine dello scorso anno dal Canada ha spinto investitori grandi e piccoli in tutto il mondo a scommettere sulle cosiddette “cannastocks”, le società quotate che operano nel settore della cannabis legale che in questi anni hanno si sono quotate in Borsa.

Il boom...
Il problema è che la cannabis mania si è rivelata essere una bolla speculativa, cresciuta a dismisura per tutto il corso del 2018 con guadagni a tripla cifra in vista della legalizzazione varata dal Canada lo scorso anno, e deflagrata dopo che la decisione è stata ufficializzata. Si è verificato in altri termini quello che gli investitori specializzati in gergo definiscono “buy the rumor sell the news” (compra sulle indiscrezioni e vendi quando la notizia è ufficiale). Il mercato cioè ha comprato sull’onda dell’euforia della legalizzazione per poi invertire nettamente la rotta quando il “market mover” si è concretizzato.


...e lo sboom
Il problema è che, trattandosi di una bolla speculativa, l’inversione di rotta messa in atto dal mercato è stata repentina e molto dolorosa. Dai massimi toccati il 19 settembre 2018 l’indice delle “cannastocks” che Il Sole 24Ore ha elaborato usando i prezzi di mercato delle 50 maggiori società del settore ha perso oltre il 66 per cento. In termini di capitalizzazione sono andati in ”fumo” (è proprio il caso di dirlo) quasi 30 miliardi di dollari di capitalizzazione. Ci sono titoli, come Tilray (azienda canadese di cannabis terapeutica quotata al Nasdaq) che a settembre dello scorso anno capitalizzavano quasi 20 miliardi di dollari e, dopo che il titolo ha perso più del 90%, oggi valgono poco più di due. Un altro titolo molto noto, quello della canadese Aurora Cannabis, è passata dal valere oltre otto miliardi di dollari agli attuali 2,7.

Uscito a -5% ACB e -4% OGI. La mia era un'entrata speculativa (tra l'altro istintiva, precipitosa e perciò sbagliatissima), quindi quando ho visto che ero entrato male sono uscito precipitosamente. Eventualmente attenderò la rottura di qualche flag o pennant che confermano eventuale nuovo trend.

Preferisco uscire con perdite limitate piuttosto che restare incastrato per mesi, qualche centinaio di $ in meno ma capitale subito disponibile.

Quello che fanno i titoli ora non me ne può fregar di meno..

Marijuana Stocks Fall As FDA Warns Of CBD Risk

The Food and Drug Administration said it "cannot conclude that CBD is generally recognized as safe" for use in food, adding that "many unanswered questions" exist about the cannabis compound. Marijuana stocks fell in late morning trade Tuesday.

The agency also sent warning letters to 15 companies, alleging a variety of infractions, from marketing unapproved new drugs to selling CBD products as dietary supplements and adding CBD to food for humans and animals.

In a separate revised consumer update, the FDA said that CBD "can cause liver injury." It also said CBD can "affect the metabolism of other drugs, causing serious side effects" including diarrhea and decreased appetite. The FDA also said that using CBD with alcohol and other depressants raised the risk of drowsiness and injury.

The agency's claims come after CBD has exploded in popularity over the past year, in the wake of the U.S.' legalization of hemp last year, which contains the compound but almost no THC. Higher-THC marijuana plants also contain CBD. But the announcements cloud the picture for the hemp and CBD market in the U.S. and for the Canadian producers trying to take advantage of it.



"CBD companies, consumer groups, and members of Congress are growing increasingly frustrated with FDA's lack of guidance on CBD products, which was expected in late summer/early Fall," Eric Assaraf, of Cowen & Co.'s Washington Research Group, said in a note.

The FDA has said that interstate sales of food containing CBD were illegal. It also says that the law bars marketing CBD products as dietary supplements. The agency says cannabis products claiming therapeutic benefits need its approval before they can be sold interstate.

CBD Effects? 'We Just Don't Know'
Users praise CBD for its mellowing, anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects, leading producers to work the substance into lattes, sports drinks, topicals and other products. Research on the exact effects has been scarce.

"There are many important aspects about CBD that we just don't know," the agency said. Among the question marks, it said: What happens if you consume CBD regularly for a long time? What effects does consumption have on breastfed newborns and male reproductivity?

"We remain concerned that some people wrongly think that the myriad CBD products on the market, many of which are illegal, have been evaluated by the FDA and determined to be safe, or that trying CBD 'can't hurt','' FDA Principal Deputy Commissioner Amy Abernethy said in a statement.

She said that aside from one prescription drug for epilepsy, the products being consumed are not FDA approved.

Il fatto che la news non abbia ammazzato il settore mi fa pensare che il rimbalzo possa riprendere...dentro di nuovo a APHA e CGC

Oggi le cannabis si seguono sullo stock market canadese. ..pensavo di rimanere senza borsa e invece...☺,
Attualmente APHA e CGC in buon verde ...
 
Il settore sembra pronto a ripartire, ma chissà :o
 
Potrebbe anche ripartire ma a me che ho ACB a 9$, non me ne può fregare più di tanto. Non ho potuto seguire per qualche mese e ho avuto la sorpresa di trovarmele a 3,5$. Poi sono ulteriormente scese ed ora aspetto e spero.:wall:

Mi spiace :(, un paio di anni fa è partita proprio dai valori attuali, ma per ora...
